Soccer fans were sent into a state of shock after news on Sunday that 12 "elite" European clubs were joining forces to create a Super League.
But less than 48 hours after the official announcement, and a relentless uproar from fans across the globe, the six Premier League clubs who joined the Super League have withdrawn from the competition.
