Would you consider it a fair trade?

The fan who Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans gave Tom Brady’s 600th touchdown ball to has received a bounty of loot in exchange for the historic piece of equipment.

The Bucs are gifting die-hard fan Byron Kennedy two signed Brady jerseys and a helmet, an autographed Evans jersey and game-worn cleats, $1,000 in store credit, and two season tickets for the rest of the 2021 season and all of next season, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Brady even wanted to give something extra, suggesting in a tweet hooking up Kennedy with some Bitcoin cryptocurrency.

All in exchange for the Brady football — which has been valued at more than US$500,000, according to Ken Goldin of Goldin Auctions.

“Given how historic this ball is as the first 600th TD in NFL history, I’d estimate this ball to be worth a minimum of $500,000 (and possibly much more),” Goldin tweeted .

Brady made the historic 600th touchdown pass during the first half of Sunday’s game, which pitted the Buccanneers against the Chicago Bears. Tampa Bay won 38-3.

After the touchdown pass, Evans handed the ball to Kennedy not knowing its historic significance. Someone from the Bucs’ staff later approached Kennedy in an attempt to make a trade with him to get the ball back.

In an interview with the NFL Network , Kennedy said he was unaware that he witnessed Brady’s 600th touchdown pass. He told interviewer Andrew Siciliano that even if he knew it was a significant Brady milestone, he doesn’t think it would have changed his mind about keeping the ball.

We apologize, but this video has failed to load.

When asked whether he wanted to renegotiate the ball trade, Kennedy said no but joked that he may want to play a round of golf with Brady as cool form of “repayment.”
