Tiger Woods in the spotlight on Masters betting props - Sportsnet.ca

Tiger Woods faces an uphill battle in his bid to claim a sixth career green jacket when the 2020 Masters gets underway on Thursday. Woods' struggles since the PGA Tour resumed play back in June are reflected in his long +3300 odds to claim victory at the tournament.

However, there are no shortage of wagering options covering Woods' performance among the long list of Masters betting props available at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Despite cracking the top 40 just once in his past six outings, Woods sports solid +300 odds of finishing this year's Masters among the top 10 on the leaderboard.

Woods finished among the top 10 at each of his first four events of the 2020 season, but struggled to regain his touch following the pause in the season. In addition to finishing a distant 37th at the PGA Championship, Woods failed to make the cut at the U.S. Open, and stumbled to 72nd place in his last outing at the ZOZO Championship. However, after remaining among the field beyond 36 holes in each of his past 20 Masters appearances, Woods sits as a short -300 wager to make the cut this time around.

Since the Masters was first played at Augusta National Golf Club in 1934, 22 editions of the tournament have featured at least one hole-in-one. That tradition is expected to continue this weekend, with -175 odds at betting sites of one or more holes-in-one being recorded.

Brutal performances are equally as common at Augusta, with three golfers holding the dubious distinction of shooting an all-time tournament-worst 13 on a single hole, including Sergio Garcia just two years ago. However, the odds are against a single-hole meltdown this weekend, with most strokes on one hole being UNDER 8.5 listed as a -1100 wager.

An early leader is expected to carry an edge into the final round, with the 54-hole leader set as a -130 favourite to go onto victory. And while a playoff has been needed to determine a winner in three of the past eight years, this year's tournament is expected to be decided within 72 holes, dumping the odds of a playoff being needed to +300, with a playoff featuring three or more players listed as a +1200 longshot.

Corey Conners has climbed to the top of the odds as a +115 wager to be the top Canadian at this year's edition of the Masters. Bubba Watson edges out Phil Mickelson as -230 chalk to be the top lefty, while PGA Championship winner Collin Morikawa sits just ahead of Matthew Wolff as a +350 favourite to be this year's top debutant.
