The six-time Super Bowl winner broke out into laughter when another tweet he read said, “Can we be real for a moment? Is there really anyone you’d rather see dropped in a vat of rendered bacon fat than Tom Brady?”
When one critic targeted his chin dimple, calling it a “butthole,” Brady pointed at his face and gave a puzzled look.
Brady mostly kept his composure, but when one Twitter user wrote, “Hope everyone has a great Monday except for Tom Brady. F— you, Tom Brady,” the QB replied, “F— you!”
Another insult brought his pet pooches into the mix as one person wrote, “F— you Tom Brady! I hope your dog eats chocolate and gets really sick and throws up on your socks.”
“That’s f—ed up,” Brady replied.
After two decades with the New England Patriots, Brady is leading the Bucs to Tampa’s second appearance in the Super Bowl. This season, Brady passed for 4,633 yards and set a franchise record with 40 touchdown passes.
“My life has taken certainly a lot of different directions,” Brady said earlier this week during Super Bowl media day. “I’m obviously older now. I’ve got a family. A lot of incredible blessings in my life. Fast-forward 21 years, sitting in Tampa and trying to win a Super Bowl in our own home stadium would be pretty sweet.”
Brady also said he will consider playing beyond age 45, which is when he was originally planning to retire.
“Yes definitely. I would definitely consider that.”
