Toronto's Dalano Banton has officially signed on with his hometown squad.
According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Banton — who became the first Canadian ever drafted by the Toronto Raptors when the team selected him 46th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft — has inked a two-year, $2.5-million rookie deal with the organization.
Per The Athletic's Blake Murphy, the 21-year-old will get a full guarantee in year one and a partial on the second year.
Banton earned his shot with the Raptors after a strong season with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, averaging 9.6 points, 3.9 assists and 5.9 rebounds in 2020-21.
