Andre De Grasse followed up his three medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by winning the men’s 100-metre competition at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Ore. on Saturday.
The Canadian ran a time of 9.74 seconds, a season-best, defeating Olympic 100-metre silver medalist Fred Kerley.

De Grasse won bronze in the 100-metre in Tokyo. He also won gold in the 200-metre and bronze in the 4×100-metre relay, giving De Grasse a total of six Olympic medals.
After the Prefontaine Classic, there are four more Diamond League events in Europe to close out the track season, most notably the final in Zurich on Sept. 8 and 9.
