Blue Jays increase capacity at Sahlen Field for first eight games - Sportsnet.ca

The Toronto Blue Jays are increasing capacity at Sahlen Field to 35 per cent for their first eight games in Buffalo, following updated protocols from New York State for large-scale outdoor venues, the team announced Wednesday.

Additionally, the club has added fully vaccinated seating sections with COVID-19 testing no longer required for any fans to enter the ballpark.

Sahlen Field can hold up to 16,600 fans.

Tickets, for both vaccinated and non-vaccinated fans, are sold in pods of up to four seats, with each spaced a minimum of six feet apart.

Capacity in fully vaccinated sections is 100 per cent.

Face coverings remain required while on Sahlen Field property for all fans, except while eating or drinking in their seats.

The Blue Jays begin playing in Buffalo on June 1, after starting their season at TD Ballpark in Dunedin, Fla.
