After an NBA season like no other, the eventual champion was no stranger to hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy.

The Los Angeles Lakers claimed their 17th title in franchise history, tied with the Boston Celtics for the most all-time, after defeating the Miami Heat in six games.

Shortly after the buzzer sounded, LeBron James was named the Finals MVP, becoming the first player in league history to win the honour as a member of three different teams.
