We got the World Series matchup all of us — well, except for the folks in Atlanta and Houston — wanted to see: the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. the Tampa Bay Rays.
All three of The Athletic’s industry insiders picked the Dodgers and Rays to win their respective League Championship Series. (Our prognosticators were granted anonymity in exchange for their candor.) With a 12-2 record going into the World Series, the scout already has clinched victory in this friendly competition. The major league player and coach each went 9-5.
