NFL agent Buddy Baker says parents died 'six minutes apart' from coronavirus

In a video posted on Twitter, NFL agent Buddy Baker announced both of his parents died Sunday after contracting COVID-19.

"Just a few weeks ago, they were in perfect health. We live in a world of 'it can't happen to me, it can't happen to us, it can't happen to my family.' Well, it happened to us," Baker said.

Baker said his parents, who were married for over 50 years, died "six minutes apart." He did not provide further detail about what state his parents lived in, but according to his official site, he is a New York native.

"I'd like to take this time to make people start thinking about making a change," he said in the video. "While the CDC and all the regulatory bodies make suggestions of what we should do, I'm not sure everyone realizes the importance of it. Hopefully this can be the catalyst for a change."

Baker asked that people make the "right choice" to stay home and avoid physical contact with others.

Baker represents Seattle's Shaquill and Shaquem Griffin and former Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin, among others.

"My agent and friend lost both of his parents to Covid-19 two days ago," Baldwin tweeted Tuesday. "He has an important message for all of us."
