Montreal Canadiens coach Dominique Ducharme says top defenceman Jeff Petry will be a game-time decision for Game 4 of the team’s second-round series vs. the Winnipeg Jets on Monday.
If Petry, who was forced to leave Sunday’s Game 3 early due to an upper-body injury, is unable to play, Alexander Romanov or Xavier Ouellet will jump into the lineup.
Petry played 16:02 through two periods Sunday and appeared to get his hand caught in a camera hole in the glass, which forced him to go to the dressing room.
In nine playoff contests, Petry has two assists while averaging 24:44 of ice time. He put up 42 points in 55 regular-season games for the Canadiens.
The Canadiens can eliminate the Jets with a win in Game 4 on Monday. Coverage on Sportsnet and SN Now begins at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT.
