Three-time Pro Bowl running back Le’Veon Bell has joined the Kansas City Chiefs, the team announced Thursday.
Details about the signing have yet to be released.
Bell, 28, was released by the New York Jets on Tuesday, bringing an end to the contentious relationship between player and club. Prior to his stint in green, Bell spent five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He sat out the 2018 season due to a contract dispute with the Steelers, before returning to play two seasons with the Jets.
Bell took to Twitter on Thursday to express his excitement about the opportunity.

While it was reported Wednesday that Bell had narrowed his choices to the Chiefs, Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills, ESPN’s Adam Teicher says Bell is choosing the defending champion Chiefs as he believes it to be his best chance at earning a Super Bowl ring.
