Clelin Ferrell may not be one of the flashiest defensive ends in the NFL Draft, but it’s awfully tough to argue against his production. In three seasons at Clemson, Ferrell recorded 50 tackles for a loss and 27 sacks.
His best season came in 2018, when he was named the 2018 ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Ferrell recorded 19.5 tackles for a loss, 11.5 sacks, and 56 total pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.
Ferrell’s consistent production and excellent work habits make a lot of sense for the Oakland Raiders. While they may have had to pay a steep price to acquire him, the Raiders improved their pass-rush on the first day of the draft.
