Millions of people across the planet watched “Avengers: Endgame” on its opening night.
It is the culmination of more than 10 years following the exploits of some of their favourite Marvel characters, starting with the first “Ironman” movie in 2008.
According to CNN Business, “Endgame” has the potential to shatter records this weekend, which may come as very little surprise. The article states “Endgame” could make more than $260 million this weekend in North America, with some predicting as much as $300 million. Across the planet, it could rake in more than $800 million, according to analysts.
If that happens, it will break the previous record set by “Avengers: Infinity War,” which opened at $258 million in North America and $640 million worldwide.
Now that the movie is in theatres, and opening night is over, that doesn't mean the fun has to stop.
Try this: Google “Thanos,” and when the page pops up, click on the Infinity Gauntlet that's in the top right corner. Then let the magic happen. It's a little bit of fun for those who want even more after the film's debut.
Several members of the Sudbury.com newsroom were there on opening night. The film got our thumbs up.
