Let’s face it, at some point in our lives, we’ve likely all experienced the horror of pants unexpectedly ripping. Hopefully, yours happened in a private setting, but Tom Brady wasn’t so lucky.

During The Match: Champions for Charity golf tournament Sunday, the former Patriots quarterback had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction… in the way of his plants splitting as he bent down to pick up a ball. Naturally, fans were quick to notice the moment which was broadcast live, and Brady was even quicker to chime in.

The football star took to Twitter to joke, “Pants wanted in on social distancing I guess…” He also said he’d make sure to wear his Under Armour Golf pants next time, because #LessonLearned.

The tournament brought together four fan-favourite athletes on the green, with Tiger Woods paired up with Peyton Manning, and Phil Mickelson paired with Brady. No surprise, the event drew plenty of attention, as fans were eager to see Brady and Manning out of their element. Not to mention, Mickelson and Woods are foes, as are Brady and Manning (only in regards to their chosen sport, of course). But hey, a little healthy competition never hurt anyone, right?

Manning seemingly took the first jab, noting “I would have loved to have had this tournament in a place where they don’t like Tom very much, Indianapolis, Denver, Boston after he just betrayed them and broke their hearts”.

Although fans had plenty to laugh at during the broadcast, from torrential rain to spirited trash-talk with Charles Barkley, Brady seemingly received the most attention online. The fan reactions were, quite honestly, hilarious.

Who knew Brady’s golf game would provide so much entertainment?

The tournament hoped to raise more than $10 million for COVID-19 related causes, and managed to far surpass that goal with a cool $20 million. Definitely seems like a hole-in-one, if you ask us.
