Aaron Rodgers sounds off on proposed CBA, perceived apathy among teammates - The Athletic

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently sent a 2,000-word email to every Packers player in an attempt to educate each one on the proposed collective bargaining agreement.

The proposal includes the NFL moving to a 17-game schedule in exchange for fewer training camp hours, adding one playoff team to each conference while making the No. 2 seed play on wild-card weekend, raising salaries for minimum-wage players and eliminating suspensions for positive marijuana tests, among many other things.

After NFLPA player representatives from all 32 teams voted in favor of the proposed CBA by a 17-14 count (one player abstained) in Indianapolis at the NFL combine last week, the proposal was sent to roughly 2,000 players for a majority vote on Thursday morning.
