Number 91 had one of the best nights of his NHL career as the New Jersey Devils came from two goals down to beat Carolina 5 to 3.
Dawson Mercer had the first multi-goal game in the NHL with a pair, including the winner. He also tallied an assist. The Bay Roberts native fought off two defenders, made a quick move to his forehand and found the back of the net as he hurtled through the air past the goal crease.
The Devils are now just two points behind the Hurricanes in the Metro division.
