The 44th Toronto International Film Festival is just around the corner.On Tuesday morning, TIFF co-heads Cameron Bailey and Joana Vicente announced the first round of movies selected for the gala and special presentations programs. It’s a pleasure to be able to share these films with audiences for the first time.”Of the gala films announced, 50 per cent of titles are directed or co-directed by women — a record number for the program.
