Draymond Green was a beast In Game 2 of the Warriors' second-round playoff series against the Rockets.
The 2017 NBA Defensive Player of the Year registered 15 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and two steals, as Golden State won 115-109 to take a two-games-to-none lead.
"I want Draymond Green to be here forever," Warriors owner Joe Lacob told Marcus Thompson of The Athletic after the win. "He’s as Warrior as they come.”
After practice Thursday, the two-time All-NBA selection had the following back-and-forth with a reporter:
Reporter: "You see what Joe Lacob said?"
Draymond: "Yeah, I saw it."
Reporter: "What'd you think?"
Draymond: "I been said that. I been said that. I want to be here."
Reporter: "Does that make you feel good?"
Draymond: "Of course it makes you feel good. Absolutely."
Draymond is right. He has gone on record as saying it'd be amazing to play for the Warriors his entire career.
He's scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in July 2020, but he's eligible for a contract extension this summer.
The biggest extension he could sign is for about $129 million over five years, which would begin with the 2020-21 season and look like this:
2020-21: $22,246,956
2021-22: $24,026,712
2022-23: $25,806,469
2023-24: $27,586,225
2024-25: $29,365,982
Will the Warriors want Draymond on the books at that price tag when he turns 35 in 2025? That part is unclear.

The sides could agree to terms on a four-year extension (or three or two for that matter) that would pay him just under $100 million. Or, Draymond could decline an extension all together (like he did last summer) and test unrestricted free agency a little over one year from now.
But don't worry about all that at this point. Just get ready for Game 3 in Houston on Saturday night.
